This is a very important unit where you are going to learn that some Spanish adjectives don’t change based on the gender of the noun they are affecting, and the same form is used for masculine and feminine.

After completing the unit, you should practice more with adjectives, or practice more with the verb HAY, or go directly to learn the verb SER (to be) in Spanish.

Spanish gender – MASCULINE & FEMININE (00510)

The gender (masculine & feminine) is very important in Spanish. You have seen in the previous units about basic vocabulary that some words were identified as masculine and some others as feminine. We wanted you to start becoming familiar with this important grammatical concept that is an essential part of the Spanish language. From now on you will have to take into account not only the meaning of words, but also the gender, if you are going to build correct sentences in Spanish. But don’t worry, because we will advance gradually. For this unit you must know the Spanish pronunciation and some basic vocabulary.

Now you need to study the definite article in Spanish.
