Spanish verb HAY – Negative sentences (01170)

In this unit you are going to learn how to build negative sentences using the verb HAY. In English you will say THERE ISN’T and THERE AREN’T. In Spanish you just need to add NO in front of the verb: NO HAY. Remember that you need to make the constant effort of speaking aloud.

Now you should practice with HAY in negative sentences, practice more with adjectives, or study the verb SER (to be) in Spanish.

Spanish adjectives – 1 (01100)

In this lesson you are going to be introduced to the use of adjectives in Spanish. For this unit you need to be familiar with the gender (masculine & feminine) and the number (singular & plural). The most important difference between English and Spanish with regards to adjectives is that in English the adjective goes first and then the noun, while in Spanish the noun goes first, and then the adjective. At the beginning it sounds a little weird, but you will get used to it very soon.
